Everything in Alhora The Guild
The people who make the book with you.
Editors, cover designers, narrators and launch specialists, found from inside the app. Alhora measures your manuscript so they don't have to ask, and keeps a private record of who helped.
- AI use stated on every listing
- Reviews from paid work only
- Money to the professional
01 · Hire
From a brief to the delivery.
Find a professional, choose a service and send a short brief. You can talk about the fit before agreeing to any work.
Brief
Everything a professional would otherwise have to ask, measured from this book — word count, chapters, trim. Copy it into an enquiry, or an email to someone who's never heard of Alhora.
Find & compare
Browse freely, shortlist and compare up to three professionals. Save a brief and opt in to in-app alerts when a match becomes available.
Quote
The professional replies or sends a quote with a clear scope, price and delivery plan. You decide whether to go ahead.

AI use, stated
Every listing states its generative-AI use, and it's a filter rather than a footnote. "No AI of any kind" matches only that; a service that uses AI in its process but delivers human-made work says so separately.
Verified reviews only
A review can only be written by someone who paid for and completed an engagement through the Guild — not by invitation, request or purchase, and not by staff. The register's order comes from verified reviews alone.
The money goes to them
Alhora takes 5% of an agreed engagement, split at the moment you pay. The professional is the merchant: the money goes to their account and Alhora never holds it.
A clear boundary
The Guild hosts the introduction, the payment and the record. The work is between you and the professional; Stripe carries payment disputes, and Alhora moderates listings and reviews — never the quality of the work.
Nothing on the register is purchasable.
03 · The Record
Who worked on this book.
A private list of everyone who helped, and what it cost — saved beside the book on your machine and never sent anywhere. Add anyone, whether you found them through the Guild or not; your own paid Guild engagements can be read in.
- Credits, if you want them. Off by default, and every name is a separate tick. The page sits in the back matter and is ordinary content.
- Plenty of authors credit nobody, and that's a fine way to publish a book.
04 · Offer services
For editors, designers and narrators.
Build a profile one step at a time — everything stays private until you publish. Define your services with a price and an AI disclosure, add up to six examples, and link each qualification to evidence visitors can check.
- Briefs arrive with the facts the author chose to share; turn a good fit into a quote.
- Change your availability at any time — existing work keeps its agreed terms.
- Your storefront, listings and payouts live on the web, at your account.
