Everything in Alhora Make it yours

A place that feels like yours.

You'll spend a long time at this desk. Choose the light you write in, the sound around you and what sits behind the page — and keep count of your writing days without anyone else seeing them.

02 · Sound

Something to write to.

Seventeen music tracks across Nature, Worlds and Focus, and soundscapes synthesised on your device. Or bring your own: add audio you own or have permission to use.

  • WAV, MP3, M4A, AAC or FLAC — up to 256 sources in your library.
  • Your audio stays on this device, outside your books and Worlds, and nothing plays until you press play.

03 · Focus

Just the page, and your view.

Focus clears everything but the words. Put your own photo or video behind the page — saved on this device only — and set the screen text anywhere from 100% to 300%.

  • Zoom changes the screen only: your book and exports keep their type sizes.
  • Interface zoom enlarges the app's controls too, if you'd like everything bigger.

04 · Your writing days

Your words, your days, your streak.

Days, words, active time, streaks and rest days, kept on this machine — never uploaded. Switch it off whenever you'd like a quieter desk.

  • Kind streaks

Choose your writing days. A day you haven't chosen can never break a streak — and revision counts as work, so cutting is never a broken streak.

  • Goals that travel

A name, two dates and a word count. A goal lives in the book, so it travels with it.

  • A pace from your own work

After a few days of writing, Alhora suggests a finishing range from how you actually write — and what a day would need to hit your date.

  • Twelve weeks at a glance

A grid of additions, cuts and craft work, and a year's totals set by the same typesetter as your book.

All of it, free to try.

Format and preview your whole book free, with no card. Pay when you publish — monthly, yearly or once.
