Shipped in v1.31.0Hii :) For the style preview, can the image showing the text and be fixed even when we scroll down? I always have to scroll back up to see what the font style or …
Ha — we felt this one too. That scroll-back-up-to-check dance was
genuinely maddening.
Fixed in 1.25.0: the controls now scroll inside their own pane, so the
preview just sits there where you left it. Update and it should behave.
Would love to be able to see the the page breaks in each chapter so I can see how many are there rather than I pageless view
Fixed!
Shipped in v1.25.0I'd love to have the option to turn off the drop caps for specific chapters (for example, the blurb or character pronunciations)
I have override settings for other features, I do not rightly as you mentioned for drop caps. I will add this into the roadmap!

Exists in the left pane now when selecting a chapter!
Shipped in v1.25.0When the opening paragraph is only one line, the drop cap still reserves its full multi-line depth, creating a large blank area before the second paragraph. Could there be an option for a raised …
There's now a setting called "Fit to the opening" in the Style panel under Chapter openers, switched on by default, so when a chapter starts on a very short paragraph the drop cap quietly shortens itself instead of holding its full depth and leaving that gap. Books you've already written should simply look better next time you open them, with nothing for you to change. Depth is adjustable in the same place too — 2, 3 or 4 lines — if you ever want to dial it up or down. I'll be straight with you about one thing: it stops at two lines, so a single-line opening will still leave a little space rather than none, and a proper raised initial is what would close that last bit — it's on the list as its own job. Really glad you flagged this one. It should go live in 1.30.0 tomorrow evening!
Shipped in v1.30.0I want to add a Subheading and Block Quote to the separate Chapter Pages, so when the reader turn, they then begin reading the story. I have tried to explore options, but I cannot …
Done :)
Shipped in v1.27.0Hiii :) would love to have the option to center aligned the H1, H2, and H3 heading formats. I use mainly the H2 for my character POVs
Good news — this one already exists, it was just hiding from you!
In Style Studio, open your style and you'll find Heading 2 alignment
and Heading 3 alignment sitting alongside the chapter opener controls.
Set H2 to centred and every POV heading in the book follows.
And if you ever want just one heading to break ranks, select it in the
editor and the block's own alignment control will let you nudge that one
without touching the rest.
One tip: make the change on your own style rather than a built-in one,
so it stays put. Sorry it wasn't easier to find — noted.
Hi! I saw the new option to click which pages to use a background image for, but when I downloaded the print file, it uploaded all backgrounds to every page rather than just the …
We did look into this in V1.22.0. Will take another look at this just to check!

We made it easier to override. When you select a chapter in the left pane, the left pane will show more details where you can now override elements specific to that chapter!
Shipped in v1.25.0Hii! I've uploaded my manuscript but some of the "chapters" are actually for the front matter (eg. playlist, blurb etc.) . I tried to use the up arrow to push it to the Front …
Noted. I will extend the ability to move chapters up to the front matter if there are some nuances with manuscript imports!

All done!
Shipped in v1.25.0Hi! I'd love to have the option to add multiple books covers since I have a different cover for my ebook vs paperback
Love the idea. We will start designing and seeing how this could ship!
---
Update on this one — and a happy one. It shipped, in 1.24.0!
Book details → Metadata → Cover artwork now has an Ebook cover slot
sitting right next to your front cover. Drop your ebook cover in there
and the EPUB uses it; leave it empty and it keeps using your front
cover exactly as before. Your printed wrap and 3D render don't change
either way.
Apologies for leaving this sat on the roadmap when it was already
in your hands. Thanks for asking for it.
Would love to see us get a tab that shows our different drafts. Like Draft 1 is separate from draft 2 while still being the same book. I poked all around in the app …
Hi Ray, I have started to develop this already. I expect it will be in the form of saving as a different version of your same book. Will be available shortly in v1.32.0
if we're meant to write directly on the editor (which would be great) paragraph break should happen with pressing enter, so we get the indent. Shouldn't need to press the plus sign for every …
You absolutely are meant to write directly in the editor, and what you're describing already works — you just need the other mode! Look at the top bar for the Blocks / Write toggle and switch to Write. In Write mode, Enter does exactly what you'd expect: it starts a real new paragraph with the proper first-line indent, no plus sign anywhere. Blocks mode is the deliberately structural one, where each element is a card you place on purpose — it's brilliant for arranging images, quotes and scene breaks, but it's not the mode for drafting flowing prose. Try Write mode and I think you'll find it's the editor you were hoping for. Genuinely useful signal that the toggle isn't obvious enough, though, so thank you!
